Fishing at the Pond

Daddy took the kids to the neighborhood pond for a little fishing. Kaytlin has great patience. She'd sit their all day waiting for a nibble. Jacklyn on the other hand fishes for 5 minutes tops and then is off to look for bugs or throw rocks. Unfortunatly on this fishing trip they only caught one fish.

Jake and I only stayed for a little while. He wanted to get IN the pond so I was busy chasing him around. He was also busy trying to catch a baby duck.

Jake's birthday is this coming Wednesday, April 25th. He opened his first birthday present last night. Thanks MeMe and PaPa! The PJ's are so cute. Jacklyn loved them too. She said she wants a pair in her size.

Kaytlin's first slumber party

Kaytlin's 7th birthday was back in December but It took until April for her to convince me to have her slumber party. I kept trying to talk her into a skating party or anything that didn't involve numerous 7 year olds at my house all night long. But she was stubborn and didn't budge. So, I finally gave in and she had her slumber party. I have to admit, they were so much easier than I thought they would be. They were actually all very good and had a great time. Jacklyn felt like such a big girl to be included.

Jake's favorite part of the slumber party was the "Pupcakes"!

For an art activity, they all painted bobble head dogs.

Once I got Jake to bed, they all got in the hot tub. It was a very cold night but the hot tub was nice a warm for them. Rick and I on the other hand froze to death sitting outside watching them.

After the hot tub, they came in for hot chocolate and Pupcakes.

Then it was movie time and lights out at 11.

The Ice Cream Truck!

The sounds of summer have begun with a much anticipated visit from the ice cream truck. I don't know if Jake got more in him or on him but he had fun.

Wet Weekend

It was a wet weekend but the kids still managed to have fun outside. It rained all day Saturday and finally there was a break in the rain. The kids were going stir crazy in the house all day so when if stopped raining we all went for a bike ride. They started off riding their bikes through all the puddles and their backs were soaked. Then it started raining again. They were already wet from the bike ride so I figured might as well continue with the wet fun so they played in the rain. Jake was so adorable playing in the puddles. They all had a great time.

Frog Season Begins

Jacklyn introduced Jake to the joys of frog hunting. He gets so excited looking at the frogs in the tank. He wants so badly to hold them but squeezes them a little to hard. Jacklyn is very protective of her frogs and doesn't let him touch them.
